Our bachelor/bachelorette party was an interesting one. The purpose of an argentine bachelor party is essentially to humiliate the bride/groom to be as much as possible. They tend to throw eggs and flour on them, make them dress up in odd outfits, and then parade them around the street. Sometimes it can even go to the extreme of ripping their clothes off and parading them around naked, covered in egg and whatever else they decided to throw at the poor guy. There have even been cases where they decided to tie the person up, against a tree or pole, and leave them there. People have even died on the night before their wedding because of it!
Luckily our party wasn't nearly as humiliating or dangerous. Rose and I took it upon ourselves to dress up so that our friends would have no reason to dress us up or undress us. I dressed up as Captain Hook and Rose was Tinkerbell. It was kind of an odd couple now that I think about it, (Tink and Hook hate each other!) but I liked the Hook costume a lot more than the Peter Pan one (I don't look good in tights). After getting dressed up two of Rose's friend, Jimena and Maria Rosa met us at her house. From there we went together to a small bar in downtown Monte Grande. There we awaited the arrival of the rest of the group.Once everyone was there we set out. We walked around downtown Monte Grande for a bit, supposedly to get the humiliation portion of the evening over with. It wasn't too eventful though. We then decided to go to a club where we danced the night away. I'm not much of a dancer myself, but I still had lots of fun. We danced until the wee hours of the morning. When it came time to leave we found that Maria Rosa was unable to walk under her own power. It turns out she had sneaked off from the group and ordered a tequila at some point during the night. I guess she wasn't used to such strong drinks, and supposedly it was the first time she had ever officially been "drunk". So with the inebriated Maria Rosa in tow, we head back to Rose's parents' house. And thus ended our "wild" lives as singles. I wouldn't give up the married life and go back to being single for anything though.

Every girl dreams of the day that the man she loves proposes marriage and puts a ring on her finger. We always think of what it will be like, it has to be a special day, unique, something to remember.
In our case, we also wanted it to be special, something to remember! And that's what it was!!! July 27 last year we were on a bus number 24 around 8:30 PM, headed to my friend Flor's house to go out to dinner in Puerto Madero. On the way Tyler couldn't contain the excitement to give me the ring, and it was right there the big moment, on that ugly bus, full of people, packed tight. Isn't my husband cute? Things like that make me love him more every day!

When I realized how I felt for Rosalia this was one of the first ways I used to show it. At the time I wasn't up to the task of actually expressing my feelings for her so I sent her the image without telling her that's what I really felt about her. I just said, "Hey, look at this funny valentine." She liked it since she's a champ at Tetris (she still beats me if we do a 1 on 1 match). The name of the file when I found it to upload it here was "nerd valentine" and I'd say that description fits. I'm just glad I found some one that can appreciate my nerdy sense of humor.
